NOUN

What is noun ?

     A word that refers to the name of a person, animal, place, object, or attribute is called Noun.



Types of Noun: Noun is divided into 5 parts.


Namely:

1> Proper Noun2> Common Noun3> Collective Noun4> Material Noun5> Abstract Noun 

    Proper Noun: The name of a particular person, object, or place that is referred to by the word is called Proper Noun.

Ex: Sunil is a intelligent boy.

      Common Noun or Noun Name: The word by which a word denotes a common common name is called Noun

Ex: Rita is a poor girl.

               Collective Noun or collective name: A word that refers to the sum of some person or thing related to it is called a Collective Noun .

For example: The army is formed with discipline.

      Material Noun or Material Name: The word or Noun that refers to the name of a substance or object is called Material Noun .

For example: This chair is made of wood.

        Abstract Noun or Multiplicative Name: A word that refers to the quality, function or condition of an object is called Abstract Noun.

Ex: Honesty is the best policy.

NOTE: Also NOUN is divided into two parts: 

1> Countable Noun2> UnCountable Noun

 Countable Noun: A Noun that can be counted .

Such as: phone, bag etc.

UnCountable Noun: That Noun cannot be counted .

Eg: salt, sugar etc.
